⸻ ⭐ One-Star Review — Misleading “Financing” That’s Actually a Credit Card I went to Rooms to Go to buy a new couch and was told by the salesperson (Frank)that they offered financing. I specifically asked him if I could pay it off early, and if the account would be closed once it was paid off. He said yes, and made it sound like it was just a simple payment plan — “our money,” as he put it. At no point did he mention that I was actually applying for a credit card. He never said anything about a credit card company or a new account being opened in my name. After he ran my information, I found out my credit had been checked and I was approved for a credit card — something I never agreed to or was even told about. By the time I realized what happened, it was too late to cancel. I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed in how deceptive this process was. Buyer beware: When they say “financing,” it’s not a store payment plan — they’re signing you up for a credit card without making that clear. The salesperson repeatedly insisted it was just a financing plan, and never once mentioned a credit card. Very misleading experience.
